The book does an excellent job covering the basics of goaltending. I think every lacrosse coach understands the basic concepts, but the book breaks it down in an easy and understandable manner with its language and diagrams. The language is one that both players and coaches comprehend, and the diagrams illustrate field positions and player positioning. The inclusion of simple but effective drills will undoubtedly improve any coaches instruction and any goalie's game.

I just finished reading your book "Good to Great Goaltending". I want to contratulate you on a piece of fantastic and informative writing. I have the task this year of training a brand new goalie (a complete newbie) for my 5th/6th grade team. Although I have played defense all my life in front of some great goalies, I did not have much of a clue as to the basics and fundamentals of the position. Your book has given me very valuable information that will allow me to simplify the training and development of a new goalie.

Thank you again. Great job!

Been coaching for a long time and have found that this book has a great deal of value for goaltenders, other players and coaches. The seven positions cover the goal completely. Shadowing Goaltending and the use of speed and concentration, while relaxing the body are great ways to help the goalie. My goalies and coaches will all have copies of this book. Easy to read and well organized. Highly recommend the book.
